What happens during the photoshoot?
Our goal is to ensure a safe, fun, and memorable experience for your pet and you. I will help coach you and your pet through interactive and joyful moments that will help your pet’s personality shine. Using a combination of treats, toys, and engaging sounds, I will work to get images that will capture the heart of your pet and leave you with memorable artwork you can display in your home or office. The first 5 to 10 minutes of our sessions are for free sniffing for the dogs. We allow for time for your pet to get comfortable with me, my equipment, and the space.
How do I prepare for the photoshoot?
We recommend exercising your pet prior to the photoshoot. This helps pets to be more relaxed and better engaged. If your pet gets groomed regularly, we recommend grooming one to two weeks before your session. This helps us see their beautiful eyes because that’s where the magic happens. Please also bring their favorite treat and toys! We want this to be a fun and memorable experience while engaging them.
What if my dog is reactive or doesn't know tricks?
Just like humans, some dogs have their own personalities. That can mean apprehension and fear are part of that personality. My pup Ruby is reactive, I have fostered many different dogs over the years, and I have cared for other dogs for many years. I understand. We will work with you because you know your pet best and how to create a calm and fun session. We will take breaks if needed and go at their pace. Lots of treats, scritches, and love are given on photoshoots to help dogs and cats get more comfortable.
What about leashes with outdoor sessions?
Safety first! I can use software to remove most leashes outdoors. Your dog should be on leash in public outdoor spaces, and we respect that. We want to make sure everyone is safe.
Can I print my own photos?
Sure. There is a $150+ charge for images that you can print on your own. We’d love you to work with us to cultivate your artwork, though, as we are professionals who will recommend curated artwork just for you and your home.
What is a Web sized photo?
These images are saved at an optimized resolution to upload to social media. They are not meant to print as the quality is not high enough.
